Kuraray’s Hollow Fiber Membrane Modules
UF/MF membrane
Kuraray’s hollow fiber membrane modules consist of different types of products; FG, GP, GS, SL, SF, and ML. They are applied to a wide variety of applications, such as SS※1 and bacteria removal from city and industrial water, advanced treatment of process water, concentration and purification of food and pharmaceutical products and wastewater treatment and recycling.

Features
1. Varied product line
Appropriate type can be selected depending on the purpose from virus and bacteria removal to wastewater treatment and recycling.

2. Cartridge system
Only hollow fiber membrane elements are to be replaced. This helps to reduce wastage and running costs.
3. Stable operation achieved by various washing processes
Products for external pressure type filtration; FG, GP, GS, SL and SF, which are made of hydrophilic materials, can be cleaned by various washing processes, including air backwashing, air scrubbing, permeate backwashing and flushing (physical cleaning) as well as chemical cleaning with different chemical agents.

STEP1SS※1 attaches to the membrane surface.

STEP2Attached SS※1 is exfoliated with pressurized air.

STEP3SS※1 is scrubbed off with air bubbles.

STEP4Membrane surface is cleaned, and the performance recovers.
